Let it be clear and in agreement that Quran is a guide book for believers and mankind. Quran is also a law book for believers individually and collectively. These are clearly mentioned in Quran 2:185, Quran 7:203, Quran 5:48, Quran 5:44, Quran 12:40 and many other verses. Now guidance and law are adhered to and not abandoned, otherwise it would be meaningless for God to state these as guidance and laws. Muslim secularists want us to believe that Quran can be abandoned in favor for western secularism and liberalism. While Quran proposes an expansionary Islam (greater authority) secularists propose a contractionary Islam (weakened authority of Islam).
First mistake of secularists is to measure Islam by secularism and liberalism which came long after Islamic scholarship developed. The height of Islamic scholarship was in the past during Islamic golden age. To abandon that and refer to secularism and liberalism to accommodate it due to colonial legacy is defeat of Islam and Islamic self-determination. Muslim secularists want to challenge established laws of Islam. What has been established cannot be unestablished because that is to dismantle mature Islam for a new immature western misplaced concept of Islam. Liberals who say true Islam cannot be known has blasphemed against God implying that God hasn't made his religion known. Without knowing true Islam, we cannot be said to be Muslims because we are uncertain about our faith. Islam is not a skeptical religion. Disagreement among Islamic scholars don't mean true Islam is not known. Islamic scholars agree more than they differ and even the differences are settled through reason and dialogue as evidenced in literature. Differences which are not settled are not sufficient proofs of the claim "true Islam cannot be known". Perhaps the truth of that specific matter is not known but that does not translate to “true Islam cannot be known". Why does Muslim secularists behave like this? First understand who are Muslim secularists? They are the descendants of Islam’s enemies Ataturk, Sadat, Shah Pahlavi and others. Their main aim is to dismantle Islam from our collective existence. They want to make Islamic understanding “free for all” so any Muslim can take the English copy of Quran and make whatever he wills of it. Intellectual anarchy is what they desire so that political anarchy follows when political Islam is removed. The secularists are detached from Islamic scholarship both by their analysis and comprehension.
The rules of Islamic jurisprudence are overwhelmingly agreed by both Shias and Sunnis. If you refer to the Islamic legal books you will see they agree in most issues of Islamic law. But the problem today is conflict between adherence and abandonment of Islam unlike past times. In past times Islamic scholarship was about clarifying the law for adherence and activity so that Quran remains the authority among Muslim polity. Now these Ataturk followers want to dismantle Islam and replace it by abandoning Islam. The reason Islamic jurisprudential science has been agreed upon mostly by Islamic scholars is because the science of jurisprudence evolved from one book basing one a previous book. It didn't evolve remotely and in contradiction. There was a culture of peer review and research among Islamic scholars, specially in Islamic golden age. Islamic interpretive sciences are harmonious and corroborative to each other. Secularists want to give us the feeling that Islamic sciences are contradictory resulting in Islam unknowable, that is, true Islam cannot be known.
Unlike the stupidity of Muslim secularists whose main agenda is contractionary the past Islamic religious scholarship followed a dialectic system of research to achieve expansionary Islam. By virtue of this, conflict between negation and affirmation developed in the field of discussion and disputation, until a conclusion was reached in which one of the points of view at odds was asserted, or a new point of view reconciling all views evolved from the intellectual struggle between the contradictories, after casting their contradiction aside and showing the weakness of every one of them.
Colonial geopolitics and neocolonialism have given voice to the ignorant people thereby polluting the minds of the common masses. The solution to this is ultimately political Islam but before that Muslim awareness about Islamic scholarship and Islamic scholars' struggle against secularists will be beneficial. Geopolitical media need to be fought as well by counter media from Islamic scholars.
